Here’s a look back at an eventful November!
Thank you all for your time, effort, and energy. It’s inspiring to see what we’re creating together.
1.In-Person Meet-Up
- Earlier this month, some of us gathered at Lavonne on MG Road! It was heartwarming to meet Preethi, AN & Sioux
2.Tools
- Property Locator for the Kaveri App: Thanks to AN and Sioux we can now locate your property easily.
- Map tool: This tool fills a critical gap—just input a location to get details like Ward Number, Police Station, and Assembly Constituency. Developed by AN
3.Content
- Sioux is working on RTI and Lokayukta-related content.
- Completed the draft for obtaining an Encumbrance Certificate. Preethi is editing it, and we’re creating a reusable template for all services.
- Completed the draft for transferring a BESCOM connection. AN is personally testing the process through “field research.”
- Shout-out to Krithika for refining the eKhata content and the valuable brainstorming sessions – I enjoy working with you!
4.Tools and Processes
- Set up JIRA for task management and Confluence for documentation. We also tested Trello. Thanks! Krithika.
- Set up a Slack channel for communication – thanks for the suggestion, Krithika.
5.Volunteer Outreach
- Received 39 volunteer contacts via Reddit and the website contact form.
- Had detailed conversations with 15 prospective volunteers.
- Preparing a structured volunteer application form to streamline onboarding.
6.Website Development
- Initiated discussions with a freelancer to develop the website.
- Compiled initial ideas for the website structure.
7. Community Building
- We’ve seen a great response from the community this month! We received ~90 comments on the eKhata page (excluding Zen Citizen responses) and via the Contact Form.
- In addition, we’ve been actively monitoring Twitter and Reddit to respond to questions about the services we cover. A big shout-out to Giridhar for taking the lead in responding to so many of these questions!
Looking forward to what we’ll accomplish in December!
Thank you again!
